Kiwanis is a worldwide service organization for individuals desiring personal
involvement in the leadership and improvement of their communities. Thus our
motto is "Serving the Children of the World." Kiwanis International is a
thriving organization of service- and community-minded individuals whose
mission is to "change the world one child and one community at a time." More
than 600,000 Kiwanis-family members in 96 countries make their mark by
responding to the needs of their communities and pooling their resources to
address worldwide issues. The 146-member Hendersonville Kiwanis Club was
chartered in 1922 and has established a nine-decade tradition of community
service and support for the children and youth of our community.
